Hoops for Hope 2026
Hoops for Hope 2026 was an incredible success.
We are so proud of our players, families, and Junior Board who brought energy, sportsmanship, and heart to every game. This event truly embodied our mission of playing with purpose—bringing the community together while making a meaningful impact for the children and families of Children's Place Association.
Because of this collective effort, Hoops for Hope continues to grow as one of our most impactful initiatives, and we are grateful to everyone who made it possible.
Call of the Wild: A Night to Remember
On October 11th, 2025 our community came together for an unforgettable evening! Together we raised $50,000 in support of After School Matters.
What made the night even more special was that it was led by our SoBa Cares Junior Program, proving once again the power of kids helping kids. From greeting guests to sharing heartfelt speeches, our Junior Board & Mentors shined as leaders, showing what youth can accomplish when given a platform to make a difference.
This remarkable achievement will directly support After School Matters programing for Chicago teens, giving them access to creative, educational, and life changing opportunities.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended, donated and supported the cause. Your generosity reminds us of what's possible when community unites behind a shared mission.

Working to make a difference
- Raised over 20k for Bookwallah, who is using the funds to build a new library for underprivileged children in Mumbai. This new library will not only be a safe space for these children but allow them to escape in the Magic of Stories! Our group also donated over 200 books to replenish some of the existing libraries.
- Through our partnership with the Red Cross we saved over 60 lives!
- We helped Every Mom Chicago help so many new single mothers receive all the essentials they need for the first year of their child's lives.
- As a group we pack enough meals to feed over a 100 kids for a year...
- Donated $50,000 to After School Matters to provide creative, educational and life changing opportunities to Chicago Teens.
